Washing Instructions
Remove the cover and wash it on the gentle cycle with cold water. Line dry or use the no-heat cycle on your dryer.
We do not recommend washing memory foam in a washing machine or drying it with a dryer. It should be treated in the same manner as memory foam for a human mattress. Here are a few options:
What is the rating of the memory foam? Is it solid or shredded/chipped?
The memory foam inside the Memory Sleeper is 50 kg/stere (110 lbs.) in density. The memory foam is orthopedic cut solid foam and is attached to regular support foam.
Can the memory foam itself be washed in cold water?
We don’t advise washing memory foam. Memory foam has different properties from regular foam and washing can destroy the foam. Also, memory foam will hold liquid for long periods of time, so allowing it to get saturated with liquid can create mildew and mold inside the memory foam cells. You can spot clean small areas with a mild detergent such as Woolite by spraying a small amount on the area. Leave it for about 30 minutes, then with a clean, damp cotton cloth, press the mattress until all the detergent is cleaned away. Allow it to dry for at least 48 hours in a well ventilated area with windows. This should be done no more than once a year.
