I had to move our Cool Bed III. In doing so, the inner material got bunched up. How can I get the bed to lay flat again?
To avoid this issue, please follow the Cool Bed III instructions carefully. The problem occurs when the Cool Bed III is picked up by the corner or edge. The weight of the water in the foam core will actually tear the foam core away from the side it has been secured to. This causes the foam to bunch up in the bottom and then it won’t lie flat again.
That being said, there is a remedy that works most of the time. Overfill the Cool Bed with water–at least as deep as the foam bunch is tall. Then fill it with air to make it balloon up. Knead the bed until the foam works its way out flat. Drain the excess water and air and be extremely careful when moving it since the core has already been ripped.
